“DEATH IS A PRIME MOVER”
This work consists of three scenarios in which death acts as a
catalyst. The catalyst has a different effect in each of the three
stories. All three tales are set in the 80’s.
Individually
each powerful story could be adapted to any medium: stage, film or
TV.
LEILA
Leila is an ageing actress trying to make a come-back, but the price is much too high.
NEVER WEAR GREEN
Alice wins the jackpot on Littlewick’s pools. Now her troubles begin.
SILENT RUNNER
This is a psychological chiller. Everywhere he goes Benjamin Corry is pursued by a man on a motorbike, which has an almost silent engine. Who is this man? What does he want from Ben?
Carole has since written Rinse Hold without music for "Death Is A Prime Mover" as a potential 4 part TV series.
She has other prose works such as "The Rain Man" about a young woman's total mental meltdown.
Her favourite script is a 90 minute screenplay, "Dragonfly", set in the present day, centering on Maria, a teenager caught between a rock and a hard place : gang-life and her dysfunctional family.
